Managing your account
Everything about your profile, controls, and account closure lives under Account.
Your profile
- Email and phone. Update under Account → Profile. Changing your email requires re-verifying the new address; changing security details may trigger a step-up 2FA check.
- Display name / username. How you appear on leaderboards and public activity. Choose something you're comfortable being seen.
- Notifications. Choose which email and in-app alerts you receive (order fills, settlements, security events).
Trading controls
Kohana provides tools to keep your trading within limits you set. These are covered in detail in Responsible trading:
- Deposit limits. Cap how much you can add over a period.
- Cool-off. Pause trading for a fixed time.
- Self-exclusion. Block access for an extended period.
Security at a glance
Keep these in good shape. See Two-factor authentication and Login & sessions:
- 2FA enabled, with recovery codes stored safely.
- No unrecognised active sessions.
- Trusted devices limited to hardware you control.
Closing your account
You can request closure under Account → Close account.
- Withdraw your balance first. See Withdraw funds. You can't withdraw after closure.
- Settle or exit open positions. Markets you're still in must resolve or be closed out.
- Confirm closure. Trading and deposits stop immediately.
We keep some records after closure
As a regulated venue, Kohana must retain certain account and transaction records for a legally mandated period, even after you close your account. This is an anti-money-laundering and audit requirement, not active use of your account. Your data is handled per the privacy policy.
Getting help
- Browse the FAQ for quick answers.
- Check the Glossary for unfamiliar terms.
- Contact support from within the app for anything account-specific, but never share your 2FA codes, recovery codes, or wallet keys with anyone, including people claiming to be support.
Kohana support will never ask for your secrets
We will never ask for a 2FA code, your recovery codes, or your wallet's private keys. Anyone who does is trying to scam you.
