Withdraw funds
You can withdraw your available balance to a crypto wallet you control. Withdrawals are processed on-chain and protected by extra security checks.
Before you start
- Only your available balance can be withdrawn. Funds committed to open orders or held in market escrow aren't available until those positions close or settle. See Positions & payouts.
- The destination must be a wallet you control on a supported network (Polygon or Solana), matching the asset you're withdrawing.
- Withdrawals require two-factor authentication. If you haven't enabled it, you'll be prompted to first. See Two-factor authentication.
How to withdraw
- Open Wallet → Withdraw.
- Choose the asset and network.
- Paste your destination address. Double-check it, because on-chain transfers are irreversible.
- Enter the amount.
- Confirm with your 2FA code (this is a step-up security check; see below).
- Kohana validates, debits your balance, signs the transaction, and broadcasts it to the network.
Addresses are final
There is no "undo" for a blockchain transfer. If you send to a wrong or unsupported address, the funds are gone. Verify every character, or use a saved address you've withdrawn to before.
Step-up verification
Because a withdrawal moves money out, Kohana asks you to re-confirm your identity at the moment you request it, even if you're already logged in.
This "step-up" check (a fresh 2FA code) means someone who finds your unlocked session still can't drain your account. The confirmation is valid for a short window, then expires.
Tracking a withdrawal
Watch progress under Wallet → Activity:
- Requested. Your withdrawal is queued and your balance is debited.
- Processing. Kohana is signing and broadcasting the transaction.
- Confirming. The network is confirming it.
- Completed. The funds have arrived, and a transaction hash is shown.
If something goes wrong before broadcast (for example, a transient network issue), Kohana automatically retries safely and, if it ultimately can't send, returns the amount to your balance. You're never debited without either a completed transfer or a refund.
Fees
The network charges a fee to process the transfer, paid in the native token.
Kohana covers the mechanics of getting your withdrawal on-chain. Any Kohana fee is shown before you confirm. See Fees.
Troubleshooting
- "Insufficient available balance". Some of your balance is reserved by open orders or escrow. Cancel orders or wait for settlement to free it up.
- My 2FA code won't accept. Codes are time-based, so check your device clock and enter the current code. See Two-factor authentication.
- My withdrawal is still "confirming". Network confirmation times vary with congestion. If it's been unusually long, check the transaction hash on a block explorer or contact support.
