Deposit funds
You fund your Kohana account by transferring supported assets from a crypto wallet you control. Once a deposit is confirmed on-chain, your Kohana balance updates automatically.
No ID needed to fund
An email account is all it takes to deposit and bet. Identity only comes up for very high withdrawal limits. See Account limits.
What you can deposit
| Asset | Networks | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| USDC | Polygon, Solana | US-dollar stablecoin (1 USDC ≈ $1). The most common unit. |
| USDT | Polygon, Solana | US-dollar stablecoin (1 USDT ≈ $1). |
| POL | Polygon | Bet in POL on Polygon markets. |
| SOL | Solana | Bet in SOL on Solana markets. |
Most people bet in a dollar-pegged stablecoin, USDC or USDT, since they hold their value and are what most markets are priced in. You can also bet in POL or SOL wherever a market is denominated in them. Whatever you deposit, Kohana covers the network costs of trading, so you never need a separate token just for fees.
Send the right asset on the right network
Always send the exact asset to its matching network (for example, USDC on Polygon to your Polygon address). Sending the wrong token, or the right token on the wrong network, can result in permanent loss of funds that Kohana cannot recover.
How to deposit
- Open Wallet → Deposit.
- Choose the asset (e.g. USDC) and the network (Polygon or Solana).
- Kohana shows your unique deposit address for that network. Copy it, or scan the QR code.
- From your own wallet, send the amount you want to deposit to that address.
- Wait for the network to confirm the transaction. Kohana watches the chain and credits your balance once it sees enough confirmations.
Always send a small test first
If it's your first deposit, send a small amount, confirm it arrives, then send the rest. It's the cheapest insurance against a typo.
How long it takes
Deposits appear after the network confirms them, usually a few minutes, depending on the network and current congestion. You can watch the status in Wallet → Activity:
- Detected. Kohana has seen your transaction on-chain.
- Confirming. Waiting for enough confirmations.
- Credited. Funds are in your Kohana balance and ready to trade.
Network fees
Kohana charges no deposit fee. The only cost is the small network fee your own wallet pays to send the transfer, the same as any crypto transaction, and that goes to the blockchain, not to Kohana. See Fees.
Troubleshooting
- My deposit hasn't shown up. Check the transaction on a block explorer using its hash. If it's confirmed on-chain but not credited after a while, contact support with the transaction hash.
- I sent the wrong asset/network. Stop and contact support immediately with the transaction hash. Recovery is not guaranteed and may not be possible.
- My balance is right but I can't trade. You may need a higher verification tier for the amount involved.
